Hussar officer's saber. Basane-covered handle with filigree. Brass mounting. Long-tail cap. Single-branch hilt, diamond-shaped auricle, straight curled quillon. Curved, flat-backed blade marked "(S)amuel Mumm fabricant à Solingen", hollow sides and gutter, engraved, gilded and blued with a third of a Hussard charging, marked on one side "Ne me tirez pas sans raison" and on the other side "Ne me remettez pas sans honneur", counter-edge, hollow sides and gutter. Scabbard with two brass bracelets. Iron sting. EM period, early 19th century (wear, pitting, missing cap pad and bowl, dents).
