History:
Victoria Dubourg, Fantin-Latour's wife, collaborated on her husband's work and pursued a personal career in her own right.
She was a member of the circle of Edouard Manet, Berthe Morisot and Eugène Degas, who painted her portrait. After Fantin-Latour's death, she devoted herself to promoting his work.
Latour's death, she devoted herself to promoting his work, notably by writing a catalog raisonné.
