Moroccan dagger called koumya. Southern Morocco, 19th century. L : 44 cm, blade : 21,5 cm Handle with pommel called "gendarme hat". Scabbard and handle in copper alloy and silver plating on the presentation side with niello and enamel decoration. The town of Tagmout (Souss-Massa) seems to have been a major manufacturing site for this type of koumya.
