TEGETATED. Too long, very short tale. S.l.n., 1770. In-64 (8 x 4.7 cm), red morocco, fine lace with small irons on the flats, back with 5 ornamented ribs, inner threads and castors, gold slices (Niédrée). Gay, IV-1278. Rare first and only edition of this work which escaped Barbier and Quérard and of which we only found a trace in Gay. It tells the story of the life of Sieur de Ratonville, nicknamed Raton, obsessed with facts and things that are too long, too long, and of his companion Souris, who will end up leaving him, robbing him of all his possessions. Very beautiful copy finely bound by Niédrée.
